I started travelling with World Vision in 2005. My first trip was to Kenya and it was the greatest adventure of my life. Since then I've been to Tanzania, Brazil, Bangladesh, El Salvador, and The Philippines, twice. I really appreciate World Vision as an organization, and can truly say that I've seen first hand the incredible work that they do.

As for my photography on the field, I do what I can to communicate what a community experiences. Its struggles and its victories are what connect us even though, on the surface, we seem to have little in common.

That getting off the beaten track is a travel cliché doesn't make it any less true. The adventure and the strange food are definitely a great part of these trips but without a doubt, it is the people that make it all worthwhile. I'm always humbled by the grace and dignity with which so many people in the developing world live. I've quickly come to realize that parents in the developing world want the exact same things for their children as any parent I know: an abundant and happy life for their kids. It is this hope that keeps them motivated to work so unbelievably hard in order to make sure their children are fed, clothed and in school.

It is truly a privilege to bring their stories to the wider world.
