About Andrew Goodwin Photography

Andrew Goodwin

Choosing a photographer is all about trust, so in order to give you a better idea of who I am, I've put together a few of the ideas that inform my work.

Creating Images that Stand Out

My goal with every shoot I'm tasked with, is to create images that will be able to stand out in a crowd, and turn heads. Whether it's using lighting to sculpt a scene, helping an individual be themselves, or getting myself into whatever uncomfortable position necessary for the angle, I do all I can to create images that wow those viewing them. Photographer about pages are littered with similar sentiments, but it doesn't make it any less true for me.

Spending Time With The Stars

A wedding is an event full of excitement, happiness and love and I consider it a privilege to share time with the stars of the day. Happiness isn’t just for weddings though. New business ventures, graduation portraits, engagement and anniversary shoots and family events are all occasions at which I am excited to help create memories that last a lifetime.

Around The World

Since 2005, I've traveled with World Vision to Central America, Asia and Africa to document how the organization's humanitarian efforts are impacting communities for lasting change. Documentary photography is becoming more and more interesting for me, as I find out more about what it's like to capture the struggles and victories of a community.

Team AGP

My wife Julie has been my partner in life and business for the past 8 years. Without her, Andrew Goodwin Photography and indeed Andrew Goodwin would not run as smoothly as they do. About three years ago, Charlie McEvoy started as an assistant, a second camera on some wedding shoots, and has since become an invaluable part of the AGP crew. He is also a recording engineer, so if you want to indulge your inner rock star, contact him via his web site.

Our latest addition, Sophie, joined Team AGP in December of 2008. She’s not so great at managing the books just yet but she does an excellent job of teaching me how to get the best out of children in a shoot.

Thanks for reading. If you have a question or seven, drop me a line or give me a call at (519) 827-9386. I look forward to talking with you!
